Description

Slightly tall with a healthy physical body. Has a pale complexion which causes her black eyes to stand out even more, and a piercing stare when she stares at you sometimes. Has a nicely shaped body with feminine curves, perhaps a little more curves then she should considering she has a love for sweets.

A down to earth individual, she is very open, and truthful. Treats others with kindness, trying to treat everyone as she would want to be treated.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strength: Knows what another person is feeling, and thinking, though by strict betazoid laws she doesn't read minds unless she has to. Is good at counseling others and making the person feel good about themselves. Can focus on the job at hand and will finish her task.
Weakness: Can become irritated, or just plain grouchy when someone isn't honest to her or gives her a duty in only a short amount of time, not allowing her to get accustomed to it. Has days when she only wants to enjoy the comforts of life.

Loves enjoying soaks in the hot tub, or a hot bath. Loves to eat chocolate, and go swimming in the holodecks. Zen Meditation, drinking smoothies and getting massages in the holodecks or by someone real. Reading, and writing, learning new things.

History

Azuma Grax was born on Betazed to Jemma Grax, and Tam Grax. Her mother, Jemma was of a noble house, but for reasons unknown they never had Azuma bonded with another for a future spouse. It might have been because Azuma's grandfather,Reittan Grax wanted his granddaughter to join Starfleet when she became older, seeing in her someone who could help, and with such duties as starfleet she wouldn't have time for a family. She grew up in a healthy family environment and was close to her parents, but especially close to her grandfather, going to as many places with him as she could. Going with him sometimes on his official betazoid business, and learning what she could from him and what she saw. Always having an open mind. One thing she learned that stayed with her was the earth religion known as Buddhism, which she took a great interest in and chose to follow the paths of a Zen Buddhist.

She developed her telepathic and empathic abilities like most Betazoids in her adolescence. Her family lived near a garden which Azuma always loved to visit and enjoy a few hours of simply sitting and enjoying the smells and feeling of being surrounded by something so beautiful. She developed an interest in starfleet when she was in her teens, wanting to become a Counselor anyway because of her love for helping others, she looked up what was required and began to study even though she wasn't quite the right age to take the test and enlist. She first went to a school for Counseling and went from there, soon enlisting into Starfleet when she became of age. She graduated top in her class, and went on to serve on board the USS Waterloo, where she met a Daniel Tyler and became friends with him, but he was soon transferred after two years of being friends to another ship. Azuma continued to make friends, but despite being open minded she is particular when it came to choosing a mate, and no one has come along that she felt extremely close enough to further the relationship.

She was soon transferred to another ship, the USS Washington and continued to serve there as a Counselor. She still kept in contact with her parents and grandfather and visited them as much as she could, often talking to them for hours during her off duties. After a few years on board the Washington she got a request to join the USS Kennedy as the Executive Officer by a Captain Daniel Tyler. Suddenly remembering him as a friend when she was serving the USS Waterloo she chose to accept the request, and how now moved on board the USS Kennedy.
